HELP!! PTE won't install.. What are my options?

My recently purchased PTE won't install on my new iMac as it apparently is not compatible.



I think I may have to upgrade to Pro Tools 12? Is this possible without being able to install Pro Tools Express? And also I read something about having to pay an annual fee for PT 12?



I NEED HELP!!
