Pro Tools has encountered an error (HUI-Mix.dll)

I cant get v-control pro from my ipad to work with pro tools 10. its working with 12, but when i load 10 and select the HUI vcontrol from the peripherals list, it crashes and tells me it quit unexpecedly. Any thoughts or solutions? only works on 12 like i said, not sure what's wrong
