PT 11.3 crashes

Hello all. I've only posted once on here and hope not to be a burden with "newbie" questions. I searched the forum to see if anyone else has encountered this and haven't seen it. I have Pro Tools 11.3.1 and while recording sometimes the program goes unresponsive, freeze, or crash which requires to close pro tools and reboot my system. I'm using Windows 8.1, 64 bit, 28GB memory. Anyone else experienced this?
