I have an old MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.3 on it. I want to install Pro Tools 10 with the Complete Production Toolkit.
When I run the Pro Tools installer I get an error message that it requires OS X 10.7 or higher. It will not proceed past that point.
Other users have reported that aside from some minor graphics glitches, Pro Tools 10 works fine with Yosemite. However, they installed Pro Tools BEFORE updating the OS. I can't figure out a way to install Pro Tools AFTER Yosemite has already been installed.
Does anyone know of a workaround that doesn't involve having to wipe my hard drive to install an older OS, only to then update and have to reinstall and configure all my other software again?
For the record, I've tried Pro Tools 11 and 12 and neither will work with video on this older machine, so my only choices are to go back to PT10 or add the cost of a new computer to the price of Pro Tools.
