Trying to upgrade to 11 (edu) from 10 Express

I am a Pro Tools 10 Express owner. I became a teacher and bought a 9-11 edu upgrade because I had been told that the 9-11 upgrade also covered 10 Express. I went to the Avid verification link and was verified my edu upgrade but are having trouble applying it. Is this upgrade the wrong one? What SHOULD I buy instead?
