Application Manager won't sync or update

I have Avid Application Manager 2.3.3.4920 on a 2014 MB Pro with OS X 10.9.5. After App Manger connects and I log into my Avid account, App Manager says 'Syncing...' for each item under Artist Suite and Plug-Ins, including itself, and never gets past that. It also doesn't succeed in getting the subscription data on the Account page.

Currently when App Manager first connects it is showing an Update link for itself, but when I click on the link and login to my Avid account it goes into the endless syncing, so I can't update.

Thinking it might be a client/server timeout issue I've tried it on 2 different Internet connections, one satellite and the other DSL, with the same result. Meanwhile I also have a PC running Windows 7 here that doesn't have this problem and successfully updated to 2.4.1.

As a work around I logged into my Avid account via web browser to use the download link there but the App Manager download is still only version 2.3.2.

Any suggestions?
