Direct recording through external audio interface

I have a question:

Is there the possibility of direct recording using the ElevenRack through an external USB audio interface like Focusrite's Scarlett 2i2 or 2i4, and doing this using Ardour?

PS: My OS is still ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
