Around 6 years ago or so I purchased an Mbox 2 mini which came with pro tools LE. At the time I was on a windows based laptop. Eventually I got a free software upgrade on pro tools and switched to Mac.
When I upgraded to Mavericks my Mbox 2 mini quit working and pro tools would no longer open. I'm going through the avid support page for correct drivers and it looks like there are new drivers for the Mbox 2 mini but they only support Pro Tools 10 or above. (Maybe it was 11, not sure)
I think the last version of pro tools I had was LE 8.
So am I hosed? Time to upgrade?
I was thinking of getting an Eleven Rack which includes a download card for the newest version of pro tools. I'm a guitar player so it seems this would kill two birds with one stone.
