Rear speaker mixing question

Hello all,

I have been experimenting with putting a 2500 sample delay on SFX between front and rear speakers in the 5.1 environment.

Does anyone have any thoughts on whether that will cause any phasing issues in 5.1 playback or 2.0 fold downs?
