TC Level Pilot w/Control 24??

Has anyone tried using a TC Electronic Level Pilot volume knob with their Control 24?

The stepped knob on the console has always bugged me and this looks like a simple, relatively cheap solution. Guess I would just need to max out the board's main output knob to full and use the Level Pilot for smooth volume adjustment.
