plugin selection shortcut still not working properly 100% of the time!!!

This has been a bug on and off since v10. It was finally fixed towards the end of 10, 11 broke it again, and it remains in 12.1. I was convinced by support that the white noise burst issue I was having in 11 was not happening in 12, so I upgraded. So far, it does seem like the noise blast issues are gone, and I love opening a session without an IO error every time! So the upgrade to 12 was sort of worth it. But..... I was hoping this would have been fixed as well. It's a tough one to explain, but here it goes. I have a HUGE list of plugins, and in the past I could always click with the mouse to insert a plugin, move the cursor to dynamics, and then type "rd" to jump to RDeEsser, or "SS" to jump to SSLchannel, then quickly hit return, or enter to open the plugin. Occasionally it would work in 11, but maybe only 10% of the time, and never during playback. Seems like it's no better, and possibly worse in 12. Why has this issue not been fixed?! It infuriates me every day! Please fix this!!!!!! :mad:
