Protools First - Still won't open?

Come from dropping PT at v8 and sold my HD rig.

Now trying PT12 and FIRST

Signed up, created password, log in etc.

installed, tried top open about 6 times now, either get "Creating Project" continuously hung.......

Or

"Could not create a new document because Permission denied (13) while creating "Project Cache" while creating "aoXaeuiKkXlIDZDndq6Aud" while creating "eX0mMatjdbdRDYiQLt2Kla.ptproject".

Great start coming back to AVID?

Is it me or what am I doing wrong?

iMac 20Gb RAM i5, 10.9.5
