So it seems 12.2.1 is available after a month or so from showstopper problem with VCA's etc.
That's a long time to get going again - so I guess you have to do rollbacks of versions in wait for a fix. You cannot tap your fingers on the table for months at a time.
But how does that work in PT - if you started and saved a project in 12.2.0 can you open a project in 12.1.0 - or are you met by:
a) - this project is created in a later version - PT cannot run this on your current version
b) - this project is created in a later version - some things may not work as expected - do you still want to open this project?
And the same thing when you made crossgrades from PT Express and similar - can you possibly open in previous version, even though that license is replaced?
I'm not quite there that I trust Avid handling of PT yet, so try to build scenarios how to cope if taking the plunge.
Thank you.
