Hi Everyone -
I am recording sample auditions of myself for audiobooks and I can't seem to get rid of the hum I hear when I turn the mic on. I've shut down the system, rebooted, replugged in everything, but the hum stays and becomes augmented when I normalize.
I am a newbie to all this and have watched lots of youtube tutorials, but can't seem to figure out how to get rid of this hum in my system.
Can anyone help?

Pro Tools Express (10.3.4)(will upgrade to 12 as soon as I get the missing ID info requested by Avid)
