As I am limited to only 4 faders on my MC Control (not wasting money on an Artist Mix if I can't get all 12 or 20 faders to bank together:mad:), I am always looking for the fastest possible way to get around the desk in Nuendo (6.5 & 7).
I have programmed the jog wheel to scroll up and down the desk which is very very fast, so far my fastest option yet. But I'm looking for immediate! That only comes with the track selection buttons on the first page. But since that won't follow the DAW once you go past track/channel 32, it's all but useless for me.
So, I mapped my entire Nuendo 6.5 & 7 consoles with layouts in blocks of 4. That instantly gave me ALMOST immediate access to 96 channels on a single page. It works great and it gives me matching feedback between Nuendo's screen and the MC. :D
However I have noticed that when I'm in unassigned channel mode, the 4 bank indicators (those 4 white little squares) default to channels 29 - 32. I don't understand why they do that. They follow the jog wheel when I'm scrolling. They follow the layouts. But when I come out of layout mode, they jump back to 29 - 32, which is annoying if I'm only channel 60 and wanted to nudge to, say, channel 62.
Anybody have any idea WHY that's the default setting for those indicators?
