Anyone is using them?
I was lucky enough to get a DK MT0760M in a good price and I currently have the audio output card on the way. My unit has an SDI IN and I will be feeding audio from an SSL MADI Alpha-Link AES OUT to an AJA AES/SDI converter. Could anyone comment on the DK DA quality? Would connecting speakers straight out of the meters run me any problems? It will be going to a Genelec 7.1 system (8030As/ 8020As)
I am currently repatching/ rewiring my home setup so it might take me a while until I get a chance to try it out myself.
I have a TASCAM DSM7.1 which I have been thinking of using as an insert to a Master Fader - connected via AES - and use the SSL ALPHALINK analog outputs to get to the speakers. The caveat of this routing is that I loose 8 outs i.e. 8 analog for the speakers and 8 AES to send to the meters.
