I have two issues here regarding Pro Tools 11-12.
One is I ignorantly updated my Mac to El Capitan without first checking Avid. I know, DUMB! Don't throw anything at me!
The second is I updated to PT 12 since El Capitan. Probably not a smart move either. But my problem started when I was still running 11 under EC.
When I opened PT11 for the first time under EC, a dialog box opened and said it was putting my "Avid CoreAudio.plugin" into an "incompatible software" folder.
When I started buiding tracks I noticed that when using Xpand!2 for drums, the BYPASS switch is locked when Low Latency is selected, and there is no MIDI audio coming through (although it is registering on the meters IN Xpand!2). I'm wondering if this is related to the CoreAudio.plugin being out, or something else I'm not understanding. BTW, where does that CoreAudio.plugin normally reside? The regular plugins folder, I presume?
I am a musician and not a pro audio tech person. But I have managed to get some nice projects out of PT over the years.
I am using PT 12 with EC because I don't have time to go to thru the trouble of getting back to Yosemite. I'll just wait out the Avid fix for EC. Other than that plugin issue, I have no trouble under EC at this time. If it isn't an EC problem, and someone knows what button I might push (or what wrong button I MAY have pushed, lol), if you could enlighten me I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance!
