Need help! Hard- and Software Change to new System from PT9 to PT11

Hello and good day!

I am a little in trouble, because my system is getting uncomfortable in my daily workflow.
In deed - I am using ProTools now for over 5 Years on ProTools 9 with a
ProTools native card in a MAC OSX 10.6.8 and the avid hardware "96" and
the "SYNC" (the old modules in silver and blue).

Now, I want to make a step forward without too intensive costs.

So my 1st plan is:

Buying a new Hard-Disk for my Mac Pro, install a new OSX which will
work with with ProTools 11, buying a Full 64Bit Version of ProTools 11
and use my old Hardware (the Avid native card and the "SYNC" and
the "96" Audio-Interface (the old silver-blue ones, not the HDX!)

Is it possible to use this hardware also in an 64 Bit Environment or
do I need a complete new System?

My problem is, that my requirements for this system are not very high.
I produce Radio- and TV-Commercials, audio and voice over for short
Image- and corporate-films and do also big sessions for e-learning voice
recordings with about 2-3 hours of audio-lengh. I normally dont need more
tracks then 4 up to max 20 Tracks.

I need a ProTools system which will not stutter if I work on a 45 Minute
Documantary-Film and record a voice over. At this stage, the performance of
my system is not very good because I often get small compressed Mp4 Files
or .mov files for this work, and the PT or the Mac has very much to do, to
decompress the videos to show them on the screen. So that’s my problem
at the moment.

I am a professional PT operator, but I have no clou about performance
Setups for PT, Mac's or Hardware - so I’m really in need for help to find a
good solution. Can anyone help me with that?

Sorry my english is not very good and thank you for advance for your help.
