Need your help – is this idea good or bad?

I’d like to pick your brains, before I send this message to the owner of InMusic Brands (the parent company of AIR Music Technology), The AIR VI Beta Forum and The AIR Music Technology Community Forum. Is there any reason why this would not work? Have I missed something? Am I wrong in thinking we don’t need to buy a big HD of extracted samples – we just need all the (.zip and .exe) files on a 64GB USB3 thumb-drive and we’ll extract them ourselves. No more huge downloads.

Here’s the gist of my proposed email:

“I love the AIR Music Technology products. Accessing them, however, can be a nightmare.

All the Windows (.zip and .exe) files on AIR Beta Forum’s Latest Builds (2.0.7) page total less than 60GB.
Having witnessed years of negative comments from frustrated users on the AIR Music Tech Community Forums and elsewhere – especially from those without good Broadband access – but including those who do have good access, yet whose downloads have failed – I thought:

Why doesn’t InMusic Brands wipe out all this negativity and forge ahead with some superior PR – by offering all these files (or just the AIEP files) – (choose your OS: Windows or Mac) - on a quality (SanDisk/Kingston etc) 64 GB thumb-drive to existing owners? I’d jump at it. It’d free up countless hours of downloading (many of which result in failure) & it would also give me a back-up for when I want to install a new OS version or re-format etc.

In Australia – please note I’m not including Postage costs – just the price to walk in the store and purchase:
Kingston DT100G3/64GB 64G USB3.0 Flash Pen Drive costs $31 Australian (US $22.3302)

Prices are a lot cheaper outside Australia (1 USD = 1.38825 AUD), (1.00 AUD = 0.720972 USD), so I imagine InMusic Brands could make a bulk purchase for a fraction of this price.”

The idea's so simple - can it work?
