Hey all,
I've done a search on here, and have found plenty of similar issues with users of early versions of PT11, but nothing current...
I recently moved from PT10 to PT12, and have been really happy with everything which 12 offers, except for video playback.
I know there have been issues with the video engine since PT11 (which was why I stuck with PT10 for so long), but I had (perhaps erroneously) been led to believe that they were resolved in 12, once the BM drivers had been updated.
I'm using a BM Intensity Pro with the latest drivers, and video playback is pretty poor on occasion, (very choppy as has been described elsewhere) and I've had the video engine crash a few times in the last couple of days... The CODEC appears not to change this, as I've tried DNxHD and ProRes LT and ProRes Proxy, all of which were CODEC's of choice for me in PT10.
Video runs from it's own drive, and other than updating the drivers everything is the same setup as was working great in PT10
Am I missing something here, as it did appear from other posts I'd read that BM performance was ok now...?
Is this a BM issue or a general PT issue? Can I do anything to improve this or is it time to think of an alternative to the BM card? Recommendations?
Thanks in advance
Jon
