Yesterday, I updated the Waves License Center and my Waves. While I don't use the IR-L plug-in often, I noticed all my extra, free impulses from Waves were missing. The solution was finding out where the basic impulses were stored - the location is changed from previous versions of Waves and I don't know if this happened at the latest update or previously - and copying the other impulses to the proper folders in the new location.
Also note: The latest free impulses from Waves, available as a download, do not include the Acoustics.net impulses that were on the free DVD of impulses Waves made available several years ago. I still have them and, creating the proper folder in the proper location and copying them over, allows them to show up as well.
You will have to make Waves rescan its plug-ins the first time you restart Pro Tools for the extra impulses to show up. Just hold down Shift when starting Pro Tools and check the Rescan Box.
This is happening on Windows, don't know if Macs have the same issue.
Cheers,
