My apologies to all of you VI gurus out there, please disregard this post as desired. This thread is just an attempt to aggregate some search terms for poor shlubs like myself who spend two hours trying to figure out why sometimes Pro Tools won't play back every 64th note when building a press roll or a buzz roll.
It's the track level MIDI Real Time Properties. Probably Quantize. Right-click on the track to bring up the Contextual Menu, Select MIDI Real-Time Properties, switch off Quantize (or set the Quantize value to 1/64 note), select Write to Track. Magic.
