Audio spikes in PT10

I recently started working in PT10 and I notice that when I xfer a v10 session to PT v7 or v5.1 I'm seeing and hearing a loud spike or snap at the head of any files that I created in v10. I don't see or hear the spikes in v10. I also see and hear this in some sessions that I receive from other facilities that use PTv10.
Anyone else had this experience or know of a solution?
