Even though ProTools 12 is compatible with el captain, The avid core audio drivers are not compatible with this recent mini update… I just installed the new operating system and I was notified upon restarting that the core audio drivers are not compatible with this version of the operating system. This is not a minor issue as it has rendered my ProTools software in operable.
Do not upgrade to mac OS X 10.11.2
