Coming from Logic I'm still struggling with PT's solo/mute approach. Those of you who use both DAW's probably know what I'm talking about.
In Logic I can solo a bus and simply hear any fader routed to it (instead of soloing all the single channels or using solo save)
How do you guys solo f.ex. a reverb return (or a // compression) without the direct sound. I'd like to EQ the reverb return and listen to it in solo. I know I can set the send to pre and back to post again. I'm just searching for a faster workflow. In PT I always need 1 or 2 steps more than in Logic. Maybe it's just me :-)
Basically PT is emulating old consoles but this whole solo/mute thing is really slow nowadays and kind of unnecessary for a modern DAW. Avid could give more options in the preferences to change the behaviour. Anyway...
I would appreciate any help or suggestion,
Best
