HD License Suggestions...

Ok so Ive upgraded an old Pro Tools license to 12.

I have 11HD and thinking of upgrading it to, but not really sure what to do... should I just sell the license now for someone else to upgrade or keep...

If I go to open an old session with more than 128 tracks (the last 2 albums I worked on have this scenario, mostly inactive tracks and extra's still in the session) I get a warning.
So then I close the 12 session.
Create a new session
import session data for 120 or so tracks
delete the inactive ones
import session data again
delete inactive again
usually am left with what I would need

not a huge deal, but I would be fine with this I assume. as long as I don't save the new 12 session after dropping the tracks over 128, although even then I think PT would make a new pt 12 session file anyway but Im not sure about that (I have backups just incase)

Now that I have Disk cache and a few other features i have used some in HD (not all the time) I think I'll be fine.

I don't use a large format control surface, nor advanced automation, heat, trim mode to me is kinda easily accomplished with a VCA when a volume thing the other automated parameters can be trimmed not as elegantly but by selecting all automation front to back and brining down with a little finessing here and there, so not as elegant but still can be conceptually accomplished.

If I keep 11HD just to have around that seems like a wasted investment and so does updating it.

Thinking i just sell the HD license.

When in the future do you think I may regret that decision.
