So I'm looking to start a commercial studio in the future. I've had one for years actually, but in my house. I'm trying to get an actual new facility away from my home. I definitely want a control surface, and the C 24 looks to be the perfect solution for what I am looking for. Just have some questions that are probably stupid.
1. Obviously, the C 24 is not an interface, correct? So I could just use my Apollo Quad as my actual I/O for getting audio into Pro Tools, correct?
2. What's the point of all of the I/O connections on the C 24 if it's not an interface? Mainly asking about the submixer I/O
3. For the Pre-amps, I guess you would just come into the C 24, through the pre-amps, then back out to your interface?
4. How good are the pre-amps compared to something like an Apollo or another high end mic pre?
5. Let's say I wanted to using every single connection i/o on the C24, would a single Apollo quad be enough to support all the channels if I grab some patch bays?
Any other recommendations I haven't thought of?
