No sound with Fast Track Pro

I just installed Pro Tools 11 on a new Windows 7 laptop with a Fast Track Pro. When I load the Demo Session (Kelly Malone), I can hear the music using headphones connected to the Fast Track Pro. When I checked the I/O Setup, the default output bus is set to A1-2(stereo). When I then open a new session and import a MIDI file, I cannot hear any sound during playback. I've tried importing the I/O settings from the Demo Session, but when I try to set the output for the tracks, I cannot get the A1-2 (stereo)->Out1-2 option that the Demo Session shows -- I can only get 16 channel options (1 through 16) which are shown as predefined then Fast Track Pro Midi output options. I must be missing something -- and suggestions would be appreciated. When I try to play the Midi file directly (not through Pro Tools), I can hear the music through the Fast Track Pro headphones.
