I have just installed Protools (non HD) on my Mac (see specs)
Mac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014)
Processor: 4GHZ Intel Core i7
Disk internal SSD 500GB
Disk External: Thunderbolt Raid 5, 4TB array
Memory 32GB 1600 Mhz DDR3
Graphics AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4096 MB
Audio Interface: Focusrite 18i8 *USB
I am trying to mix a 15 track song with 3 plugins and while I'm playing back I get the " AAE can't get audio from the drivers fast enough. Your drive maybe be too slow or fragmemted, or a firewire drive could be having trouble due to the extra firmware bandwidth or CPU load (AAE-9073).
I have tried all buffer settings in the Audio engine and it even does this at 1024.
I have been using Logic Pro X and have had 30 to 40 track projects with many plugins and have haver seen this trouble. I tried changing the location of the files form one external thunderbolt RAID 5 Drive to another and the same thing happened. I am NOT running the project on the main drive. Thanks in advance for any and all advice.
