Hey, guys,
This may have been discussed, but I couldn't really find much, so I wanted to cut to the chase since time is running out on upgrading for a lower price.
I currently use Pro Tools 11.3.2 HD Native. I want to upgrade to 12 in hopes that everything runs smoother than 11 ever did on my system which is qualified.
My question is, since I have 11 HD Native, can I upgrade to just the standard 12 and not the HD version? It's quite the bummer that when I bought 11 HD, they had features that I really dug and were worth paying more for, but now, everything is pretty much there for the most part, minus a couple of things I can live without. It's really upsetting and discouraging to know one would have to pay double the amount to get something that has very little benefit over the vanilla version regarding audio production for the home studio guy who is not in a large facility, and then have to pay double the amount still every year for something that is still just about the same regarding audio production. This may be what people were so upset about when all of this got announced, and I think I already know the answer, but, I still had to ask anyway.
Thanks for your time guys
