fisrt of all i think freeze is an amazing feature and is very welcome to pro tools..I have been testing this feature for a while and i can tell it's super wow!!!!
I am amazed by the handling of rendered files...meaning that there is an intelligent workflow behind the scene that keeps your freeze files in order...In the beginning i thought what happens to files if i unfreeze (because there is no option when you unfreeze like other daws like keeping the freeze files or delete)
are they still in Renderd Files Folder and stay forever??
So...NO!!!!Frozen tracks are kept in Render Files Folder as long as you have them frozen in your session...if you unfreeze them they are gone after saving and closing session...i think this is very useful!!!!
BUT..........what if i want to keep a frozen file even if i unfreeze a track???
i think it would be a nice add on for this wonderful feature ...
Also,i would like frozen tracks (audio & midi) to be editable at some point..for example you freeze an instrument track (drums) and you want just to copy a part ...
you copy it where you want and when you unfreeze the instrument track,it automatically copies the unfrozen midi part to your position...( JUST LIKE PRESONUS STUDIO ONE v3)
that would be very useful too
