Pro Tools 12.4 Windows Initialising Audio Engine hang

Hello,

I did a fresh install of Pro Tools 12, I installed the Beta driver for the Focusrite 2i2 usb audio interface as the default 2.5.1 driver when I launch Pro Tools it dioes not detect the Focusrite unit. When using the Focusrite and any other USB driver currently on Focusrite USB2 Drivers 3.2.2.

Pro Tools launches and sticks on Initialising Audio Engine, for around 5 minutes. Then when I create a new session it goes very slow to build the session. Once built the Pro Tools interface is very snappy.

In Sound settings on the control panel, I have default windows audio for on-board Realtek sound card set as default, also the Focusrite is not set as default and sound playback and record both set to 48,000khz 24bit.

I tried with the settings to in sound advanced, Exclusive mode tick box on

Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device
Give exclusive mode applications priority

If they are unticked, I get error no audio interface found.

I did all the Windows guides for optimising the system, on the Avid website. tried holding down N key on Pro Tools boot and choose Focusrite ASIO and tried the Asio4all that has been mentioned but the hang on Pro Tools is very annoying any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Leo
