Before I blow my load on my next build, I'd liek to know if Pro Tools 12 multi core scaling is ready and WILL take advantage of 2 Xeon CPU's. I knwo some programs don't scale too well, but I was wondering if Pro Tools fits this bill. I was thinking 2 8 core xeons, or if not a 1 cpu board with a 10 core 3.1ghz xeon instead.
Or should I opt for the i7 5960x and just overclock? Which would be taken more advantage of?
