I appreciate any help in advance.
I have a mix up and what I ultimately want to do is control how much of a vox is sent to an aux containing delay via automation. If I ride the fader, the delay at the end of a phrase is more realistic and smooth sounding verses automating the master bypass in H-delay.
I always SEND my vox audio track to an aux track to boost the volume and it seems to provide a bigger cleaner sound (could be the root of the issue). Lets say thats done using bus 1-2. Now I in order to achieve my goal, I am SENDING the same vox track to another aux that contains the delay of my choice, which is H-delay. Heres where the problem lies, when riding the send fader, and increasing the amount of signal sent to the delay aux (moving the fader up), the overall volume of the vox track is increased, and if youre pushing the fader hard, you really can hear it. I know theres a way to do this without the volume increasing which is what Im looking for. Here a link to vid where someone is doing EXACTLY what Im trying to do!!
