Ilok 2 activation for pro tools 11

Hello.



I have just bought and downloaded protools 11 student edition. They gave me an Ilok but I already had one so decided to use my own. now when I try to activate pro tools with my ilok, a screen comes up saying ' You don't have any licenses in your account, or none of the licenses there have activations available etc...'. Is this the case because I'm using my own Ilok or are there other reasons as to why this has happened?
