My Name is Petris. I own a HD protools 11 setup consisting of a native card and a omni installed in a PC desktop system. My situation is I need to travel overseas and continue to work. I only need to edit and monitor via headphones and I dont require any I/O or powered monitors. Is there a way for me to take my session on the road on a Mac laptop. Can I just use my dongle (licenses) and install software and use souncard onboard laptop to plug in headphones. Or do I need to buy a chasis for my card. Can I use the chassis without an interface or would I also need to take the omni as well??
Also if I do indeed need the thunderbolt chassis made by avid with the headphone port. Where would I purchase this from. I have had great difficulty navigating avids site to locate the chasis. Do they sell the chassis without the card as I have a card already. Yes Mac laptop has thunderbolt port.
