Open a session without Artist Control on

Hey guys! I have a question...as of right now, I'm not able to open up a Pro Tools session on my computer unless my Artist Control is turned on. Even if I make sure the EuCon connect app is closed out, the Pro Tools loading window still gets stuck on "Configuring Eucon" regardless of how many times I try to open a session. Is there any way around this? While it's not that difficult to turn on the controller, I'd like to not have my sessions be reliant on having the controller powered on in order to open. Any help is appreciated!
