New to recording , low volume levels.....

So i am new to pro tools 11 and recording and i getting really frustrated . I need help with making my mixes louder. I understand that it will not sound as loud as professionally recorded cds. My recordings sounds good. What i am doing is recording superior drummer and the elevenrack for guitars in a rock band. I can put maxim on the mix and i raises the volume some but when i bounce its about double or triple lower volume than anything i hear even on unprofessional youtube videos . The recording meters on pro tools are in yellow right before clipping . Basically as loud as i can push it without distorting. So basically what would i need to do to get it even a little louder. I have the t-racks plugins. I need help step by step of what to do to each track . 2 guitars 1 bass and superior drummer midi track. i have read other post about adding compression, brickwall limiters, eqs and i just don't know what track to put them on. I have tried some of those and it just ends up distorting. I just need a process or direction to go. Thanks
