Avid How Can I Be Having Problems With Your Mbox Drivers Again!
I have once again NO signal when I'm in record Enable in pro tools 11.1.2 Windows 8.1
I have to believe after all the trouble shooting I've done that its
Avids Mbox 3 driver.
It says on Mbox 3 set up. I have clock source set to S/PDF
Right below this written in a box it says. External clock NOT detected. Sample rate fixed at 48 kHz. Changes to the Preferred Buffer Size may require a restart of your host app.
Mbox 3 default buffer size is 256. As we all do I bounce around with my buffer size depending on what Im doing. Please NOTE when I change buffer size in pro tools 11.1.2 NOW I get a reading on Mbox 3 set up says Sample Rate 48007 NOT 4800
Why is it changing my buffer size to 48007? Why is it saying External clock not detected? I'm getting signal thru my rosetta 200 and big ben?
Im going thru Rosetta 200 and Big Ben Clocking using S/PDF out from Rosetta into Mbox 3 out from Mbox 3 into Rosetta. This set up was working fine a week ago I had signal I come back and I have NO signal.
Just like months ago with Mbox 2 Pro driver with pro tools 11. After losing out over a weeks work and huge pain I discover my headache is my Mbox 2 pro so I tossed my Mbox 2 pro bought Avids Mbox 3 and it worked great now Im back to this same problem again.
And I know I have my I/O settings correct from the hours of trouble shooting with Avid tech support and he came up with the I/O configuration I'm using.
I also have uninstalled Mbox 3 driver reinstalled with there latest update Install_Avid_Mbox_1.1.8
I did install two new drivers though. Arturia Spark 2 and UAD-Win-v770 this has the AAX plugins for PC users finally.
Yes I have verified that the MBox is selected in the Playback engine?
Yes I have tried to default inputs and outputs in the I/O Setup?
You know it just occurred to me though a long shot maybe deleting my DAE prefs and my Data bases will solved this nightmare? Trouble is I cant even find my DAE prefs and my Data bases in Windows 8.1 yet. If anyone can direct please do thank you. It was so much easier in the old days to find these two items.
I've been a pro tools user since 2007.
It might be time to jump ship this is one headache after another and more importantly losing time and money!
I'm losing faith in Avid products...
