Is there a way to copy portions of a mix and overlay it on a whole other session?
Like fader levels, pan and send assignments, plugins and their settings (EQs, compression reverbs, even clip gain) etc...
Suppose I have two sessions with the same number of inputs, like for say a live recording, recorded on two separate nights, the same piece of music, and I want to use portions of one with the other as the final product; I'd like most of the sessions for both to be identical, without having to manually go back and forth between each session to set all the parameters individually. (In this particular case the automation will be slightly different as the time lines are not identical).
In thinking about this, it would like a template, but in reverse and applied after you have already recorded the material.
