Mac sounds through hdx card

Hi,

Working at a friend's studio.

Found that we can't get the mac sounds to play through the hdx card. (ITunes, browsers, etc.)



I found a few threads with no resolution.



His system is:

Mac Mini latest version.

Mavericks.

Pro tools 10

Avid 16x16

Magma expansion chassis.



Everything is working pretty well.



I tried system sounds. Set it to hdx card.

Audio midi shows hdx output.

When we try iTunes, no sound.

Core audio window shows 0 ins and outs.



No, we are not trying while PT is open.

This is strange as I have a similar system that works fine. (Not Mavericks)



Any info would be appreciated.
