Hello, First time poster here but long time reader. I have found many fixes for issues I have had over the years so thanks all.
I have recently traded my focusrite scarlet 8i6 for the tascam 1641 due to the fact i want to record our band practices live. I used to send all the outputs from our mixer into the 8i6 but that was impossible to mix well. With the tascam I am able to get 16 tracks in yada yada yada.
Whats going on - My interface records the signals in no problem. My issue is that i cant get the audio to play back. I have reset, reinstalled pro tools 10 to the most up to date version. I have uninstalled and installed the tascam drivers, i have updated the firmware in the unit as well. I am able to record 12 tracks no problem with no latency issues or computer freezes. This is while running compression/EQ on each track as well. The issue is my output does not work on the unit. I can get the unit to play iTunes songs from the desktop but nothing will play through Pro Tools. I have had audio come out a very few times so i know it is possible. In order for audio to play if it will, i have to reset my computer and protools about 25 times (no joke) for it to play for about 5 minutes and then it will cut out. The audio signals are playing but no sound is coming out through Pro tools. I dont want to get rid of pro tools for another DAW.
