I have found a practical steal for a Lacie 500gb, 7200 rpm, USB 3.0 external drive.
My thunderbolt port is already in use for extra monitors so 3.0 is my only option at this point for the best data transfer speed.
To cut through all of the mud, this puppy is on sale for 80 bucks and I am seriously thinking about adding this for my dedicated audio drive for my mac mini, i5, 16gb ram set-up. I have some slow tb drives to dump old files once the 500gb fills up so storage amount is not a priority at this point.
Anyone see any drawbacks or concerns on purchasing this Lacie drive? :confused:
