PT 11 Crashes While Playback When Closing Plugin Windows

Hey Guys. I'm getting this super frustrating crash in Pro Tools 11. So you hit playback, you open any inserted plugin window, close the plugin window while on playback, Pro tools 11 crashes deadly. So whenever any plugin window's open, you have to stop playback, close the plugin window, and then resume playback. Sometimes you even have to stop playback and wait for all the meter activity to go all the way down to complete zero, before closing the window, or it will crash too! It will crash by closing any plugin window, even Avid and UAD plugins.



Now this crash isn't just Pro Tools quitting and closing. This crash completely surrenders pro tools and Reason. The graphic of the plugin window which you were attempting to close just stays there in a ghostly fashion, in front of all and any Mac windows that are open at the time, including the desktop of course.



There's no way to recover. You can force quit both reason and Pro tools, and they supposedly will eventually, but the faded PT and plugin window will remain no matter what, until you reboot. If you reboot, it will take a long while before it actually does.



This started happening with PT 11.1.2. So I thought It'd get better after updating to 11.2. It didn't. :(



Anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance and any help will be highly appreciated. :confused:



MY SYSTEM SPECS



- Macbook pro retina late 2012, Mavericks 10.9.4

- Pro Tools 11.2.1 while rewired with Reason 7

- 500 GB Solid state HD

- 16 GB RAM

- UAD Apollo Twin Duo (Thunderbolt interface)

- Focusrite Sapphire Pro 40, firewire (The crash happened with both interfaces)
