I am cutting some "Best of" shows for a client and have been trying to import session data from one show to another.
The session I am importing data from uses a combination of wav files, as well as a couple of embedded OMF files (the biggest being 2.2 gig). The session folder shows up as being about 12 gig in total.
When I try to import some audio tracks (copy audio option) into a new session I get an error saying that I need another 170 gig of free space to copy the session. The drive has 1.7TB of free space
I tried doing a save session copy to see if that helped, and it kept crashing.
I then decided to stem it out because I didn't need much mix flexibility. I did an offline bounce to save time but it seems some of my eq plugin automation is lagging by as much as a second on the stem.
I guess I could try a realtime bounce, or route to a track but its a PITA.
Has anyone seen this weird sort of behaviour before?
