Mac Pro 2010 5,1 6-core 3.33 with 24GB RAM. HD Native card.
I just bought a new internal drive because my existing build seemed like it was causing performance problems; stuttering in PT, delays doing simple things like copying files in the finder, periods of freezing before completing routine tasks.
Installed 10.9.4 on formatted drive (journaled, of course). Installed 11.2.2, HD Driver, Avid Codecs, Eucontrol 3.2.1.
Even with buffer of 512 or 1024, and even with a disk cache of, say, 16, I'm seeing play-pause problems.
Any ideas? The fresh installs should have meant a much better experience than I'm having.
