Elastic audio question

PT HD 10.3.10 here. Is it normal that when I enable elastic audio on a mono (vocal) track (monophonic mode) it sets marker points around the tempo changes of the song without my request ? :D :confused:

If I erase them it's gonna change the timing of the whole section (of course)...

I need to expand the whole region but I have these markers in the middle of it that don't let me do that... any ideas ?
