Bug: Single Note MIDI tracks are not shown properly nor do they behave as they should

Single Note MIDI tracks are not shown properly nor do they behave as they should when re-opening a saved session. These tracks do not look like they are set to Single Note anymore and even though they show the correct notes selected, they behave as if they all had the same note selected. This is a huge problem for me since I'm using a drum matrix for my virtual drums (Superior Drummer). Re-selecting the proper MIDI note for each part of the drumkit every time I open a session is a very tedious waste of time and it makes me want to put a bullet through my computer and/or brain.

Below are my system details and steps to reproduce the problem.

Computer Make and Model

HP ENVY 17-j008eo

Operating System Version

Windows 8.1 64-bit

CPU and Chipset (PC)

Intel(R) 8 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller (driver version 12.0.7.1002)

Installed Memory

2x8GB SODIMM Unknown 867MHz

Video Card

NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M - 2 GB DDR3

Installed version of Pro Tools

Pro Tools 11.3.1

Audio Interface

M-Audio Fast Track Ultra

Steps to reproduce the problem

  • Create some MIDI tracks

  • In the Edit window, right click on the little piano roll next to all the track settings, select "Single Note" and choose a note

  • Save the session, close it and re-open it

  • Notice now that the tracks do not look like Single Note tracks anymore and in fact the notes are the same for all tracks now (in my case F#3) even though right clicking on the piano roll shows the correct single note is selected. Only by re-selecting the single note does the problem get fixed.

  • (simply switching to the MIDI Editor window and back has fixed the problem for all MIDI tracks simultaneously in the past, but it is not working for me anymore)
