Eleven Rack not connecting over USB

I've got an Eleven Rack here - awesome machine. Problem is, it doesn't like to connect to my computer most of the time.

My system is a Mac Pro 3,1 8-core 2.8ghz, 12gb ram, and SSD plus hard drive. I'm running Mac OS 10.10.2, Pro Tools 11, and the latest 11r drivers. I haven't had the computer long, so the OS and PT installs were done only a month or two ago.

The 11r will connect and work perfectly on a fresh boot, (seemingly)whether or not I run any apps or not. If I wait a few hours and try it, it won't show up as an audio interface and won't work with the 11r editor or Pro Tools - though it does show up as a midi interface and in System Information under USB.

I've changed USB cables. I've reset the 11r. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers (and when I first tried to remove the drivers, it gave me error 5364 and wouldn't uninstall until I rebooted). No help so far.

In the Console, it gives me this entry every time I turn on my 11r:

Quote:

VDCAssistant[175]: VDCAssistant: Found a camera (0xfd4000000dbab011) , but was not able to start it up (0x0 -- (os/kern) successful)

Which seems weird, because the 11r is definitely NOT a camera! Also, it gives me this message even when it works.

Any advice? I'm considering going back to OSX 10.8 or 10.9, but I'd rather not, as I use other software that requires Yosemite.
