MIDI automation issue

Hello PT users,



I am having a problem with the controller data I am writing into PT. I recorded some mod-wheel data on my midi keyboard. The automation was visibly written to my instrument track. Unfortunatley, the data does not effect the recorded midi notes I have played. Pro tools is not reading it. The track is armed to auto read and I am able to adjust velocity but other controller data like pitch-shift does is not read. Does anyone know what my issue seems to be?
